Frequently asked questions

Buying from a new brand can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to leather.

So I have answered the most common questions below. If there's anything else on your mind, please don't hesitate to drop me a line, and I'll get back to you soon.

Where is the leather from?

The Leathers are sourced from family-owned tanneries based between Pisa and Florence, producing fine vegetable-tanned Leather that is traceable to its source.

The certification from the Consortium guarantees an impeccable product, incorporating circular economy practices that respect the planet and its workers, and provides peace of mind for you.

Where are the rest of the materials from?

I use very few materials except from leateher and I make sure they are all spot on

The canvas is woven in Dundee, using GOTS-certified organic cotton, which is also fluorocarbon-free, tough and easy to sponge clean.

The buckles are cast in the Midlands by a heritage foundry that has been going for generations, and the last few pieces are machined in the Czech Republic.

I occasionally use lightweight materials, waterproof and remnants that I forage at second hand shops or dead stock suppliers.

Where are your products made?

Each bag is handmade by me in a barn in Somerset.

If its made to order can I still return it?

I make every bag with the intention that it finds its forever home. If you're unsure whether the bag is a good fit for your daily routine, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me, and I'll be happy to help you make an informed decision.

How long until I get my products?

Each 1st of the month I will open pre-order that will stay open until the end of the calendar month.

I will then gather all the materials and start making all of the orders.

This allows me to be more efficient, only make what is needed and reduce waste.

How do I care for the leather?

Vegetable-tanned leather will develop a rich patina (a natural sheen) over time.

You don't need much, just a damp cloth now and then to wipe out the dust and a small amount of natural leather balm once or twice a year.

Avoid soaking, and let it dry slowly in the shade if it ever gets caught in the rain. Most of all, use it, it will look even more beautiful with time.

Each bag will come with detailed instructions.
